William B. Ertel, CPA/PFS, CFPTM, CMFC

Will Ertel founded Tassel Capital in 2002 with the clear objective of helping individuals make financial decisions.  One of Will’s greatest strengths is helping people make sound technical investment decisions that are consistent with their unique goals and circumstances.

Will has worked in financial services in Charlotte since 1993 serving both businesses and individuals.  He lives in Charlotte with his wife and three daughters.

Ronald Blue & Co., LLC.  Charlotte, NC.  March 1998—August 2002.  Managed client relationships and implemented investment and planning solutions for clients throughout the Carolinas.
Alemite Corporation.  Charlotte, NC.  March 1996—March 1998.  Performed and supervised internal reporting function for company.
McGladrey & Pullen, LLP.  Charlotte, NC.  Sept 1993—March 1996.  Performed and supervised audit function for small retail, manufacturing and banking companies.
Lancaster Scouts Frontier Baseball League.  Lancaster, OH.  June 1993—August 1993.  Pitched in All-Star game after being a third round draft pick.
Earned PFS designation. The Personal Financial Specialist designation was granted in June of 2002.
Earned CFPTM designation.  The Certified Financial Planner designation was granted in April 2001.
  Earned CMFC designation. The Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor designation was granted in June of 2000.
Earned CPA designation. The Certified Public Account designation granted in October 1995.
  Furman University. Greenville, SC.  Graduated 1992, attended 1988-1993.  Graduated with double major in accounting and mathematics.
  Elkhart Central High School, Elkhart, IN. Class of 1988.
Will and his wife have three daughters and are actively involved in the adult small group and children’s ministries at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, NC.  Will was inducted into the Furman University athletic Hall-of-Fame in 2001.  Will still holds several school pitching records at Furman where he was a pitcher and infielder.
